I wanted to write a note about the vinyl & polyurethane bodies. These textiles are usually used in commercial interior design.  These are not the vinyl on the booths at your local diner! Our textiles are high end, totally cutting edge textiles. The textured vinyl has a little metallic shimmer to it, & a 3-D pattern. The polyurethane, while smooth to the touch, looks like brushed metal. It feels like a heavy, high quality satin, but it is water resistant!

Now a word about how JKLM studio has structured our business. Our bags are manufactured  in Thailand, of both American and Thai materials.  We chose Thailand for a multitude of reason, beginning with their long tradition of textiles and high quality craftmanship. Our bags are made in a well run factory outside of Bangkok, by a manufacturer whose attention to quality meets our own high standards. We have travelled to Thailand many times & feel comfortable there. Many of JKLM studio's textiles have their origins in that part of the world--it somehow made sense. It is a wonderful country, the food is excellent, & the people kind & welcoming. It is an amazing place to visit & we encourage people to travel to that corner of the globe as much as possible!
